About Casey

Casey grew up on a dirt road outside a small, Southwest Alabama town where fishing and four-wheeler riding were a way of life. Some of her favorite hometown memories include graduating high school as valedictorian and homecoming queen, as well as being a 5-time state champion gymnast, UCA All-star cheerleader, Girls State rep,  state drama winner and ambassador to the Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation World Leadership Congress, but the best was seeing all the stars glittering over the family pond.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama with a BS in Business Management and Minor in Dance.  The highlight of career at  Bama (ROLL TIDE!) was graduating 12th out of 5000 students, being a featured dancer for Louise Mandrel concerts and winning Miss University of Alabama.  She also had the honor of being a NASCAR spokesmodel. Casey received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Mobile.

A former competitor in the Miss USA and Miss America pageant systems, Casey is now a certified Miss America judge and nationally sought after pageant coach with over twenty years experience. She travels the country conducting pageant seminars. She also works full time in sales and on the side as a professional model, actress, and pageant emcee.  She has appeared in print, film and television.

In her spare time (*cough*),  Casey enjoys taking an advanced jazz class (with a current NYC Rockette!), following SEC football, spending time with her two children and traveling. She works out constantly to compensate for her addiction to Barq’s Root Beer and gourmet coupcakes and loves watching Revenge and Nashville.

A member of Romance Writers of America &  RWA Gulf Coast Chapter, Casey is an award-winning author of spicy mainstream contemporary romances. Under the pen name Casey Layne she writes young adult novels and recently released a children’s picture book entitled BACK ALLEY PUPSTERS.
