Casey grew up on a dirt road outside a small, Southwest Alabama town where fishing and four-wheeler riding were a way of life, but only while wearing lip gloss! Some of her favorite hometown memories include graduating high school as valedictorian, as well as being a 5-time state champion gymnast, UCA All-star cheerleader, Girls State rep, state drama winner and ambassador to the Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation World Leadership Congress, but the best was seeing all the stars glittering over the family pond.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama with a BS in Business Management and Minor in Dance. The highlight of her career at Alabama (ROLL TIDE!) was graduating in the Top 1% out of 5000 students, being a featured dancer for Louise Mandrel concerts and winning Miss University of Alabama. She also has had the honor of being a NASCAR spokesmodel. Casey received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Mobile, also as a Summa Cum Laude graduate.
A former competitor in the Miss USA and Miss America pageant systems, Casey is now a certified Miss America judge and nationally sought after pageant coach with over twenty years experience. She has worked with hundreds of clients, but her predominant clientele competes in Miss Teen/Miss USA, Miss America, Mrs. America and Distinguished Young Woman (Jr. Miss). Visit her at www.pageantcoachcaseycrow.com.
She also works as a professional model, actress, and pageant emcee. She has appeared in print, film and television, including the major motion picture Oculus.
Taking her image consulting business to the next level, Casey recently founded Crow & Crow Image Consulting & Talent Development/Management, a consulting/promotional firm that represents artists, singer/songwriters and musicians in all genres. She has worked with Nashville recording artists, including choreographing a headliner concert. Combining her passion of creativity and business experience, Casey also oversees image consulting, strategic development and marketing for clients.
In her spare time (*cough*), Casey enjoys taking a “seriously hard” advanced jazz class (with a current NYC Rockette!), following SEC football, spending time with her two children and traveling. She works out constantly to compensate for her addiction to Barq’s Root Beer and gourmet cupcakes and loves watching Revenge and Nashville.
A member of Romance Writers of America & RWA Gulf Coast Chapter, has had the honor to present workshops at several international literary conferences including the Romantic Times Booklovers Convention. Casey is an award-winning author of spicy mainstream contemporary romances. Under the pen name Casey Layne she writes young adult novels and recently released a children’s picture book entitled BACK ALLEY PUPSTERS: Zac & Roxie for the Win.
